Well, we have bad news and good news. Bad news first, right? Leanne Schaub, Volunteer and Resource Coordinator, has left her position to begin a new journey in life. She did a wonderful job of strengthening our volunteer program. We will miss her awesome enthusiasm, her gift for adding thoughtful, personal touches to everything she did and that undeniable Michigander charm. Best wishes for a happy and successful future, Leanne!
Now for the good news. Leanne’s successor is no stranger to Coburn Place, although she may not be familiar to you. It is with great pleasure that we welcome Suzy Stocky as our new Volunteer and Resource Coordinator!
Suzy began her involvement with Coburn Place as an intern in the Children’s Services Program 4 years ago. After her internship ended, we just couldn’t let her go. Suzy became a part-time weekend Mentor, responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of Coburn Place residents and property overnight and during the weekends.
Suzy is a native of New Jersey with an infectious smile and a very welcoming air about her. She describes herself as personable, passionate and outgoing. She also loves to laugh, travel and have fun.
One thing she is truly passionate about is our mission. We can’t wait to see what ideas she’ll bring to our program. She had this to say “I am honored to work for such an amazing organization, and I look forward to meeting everyone!”
Please stop by and say “hi”, send her an email, firstname.lastname@example.org or leave a comment below. She’d love to hear from you!
