In just three months, we’ll be partying with a purpose again at CoburnFest!, and we couldn’t be more excited! Mark your calendars for Saturday, August 23, 2014.
We’re shaking things up a bit this year. For starters, we have a fabulous new location, the Lucas Estate in Carmel, IN! It’s been hailed by many as “the most magnificent residential estate in Indiana”. A new venue means a new menu, too. We’ll have some very tasty treats for your snacking pleasure. If the mission and the fun weren’t enough of a reason to attend, the chance to visit this extraordinary venue should finalize the deal.
What’s not changing this year is the entertainment. Our dear friends, Henle and the Loops, will have you movin’ and groovin’ as usual. We know you know how much they rock on stage. But we bet you don’t know how much they totally rock off stage.
Henle and the Loops don’t accept payment for their gigs. They play charity events because they love what they do. They have raised more than $1,000,000 for non-profit organizations! That’s a whole lot of zeroes and a whole lot of giving back.
The band recently traveled to Atlanta, GA to perform for the attendees of a medical symposium hosted by Fresenius Medical Care. Two of its members are actually nephrologists, doctors specializing in the treatment of kidney diseases. (In fact, our kidneys have a tubule call the Loop of Henle, which filters blood. Thus the band’s name.)
Instead of payment, they asked that a donation be made to Coburn Place. Their generosity resulted in a gift of $10,000 from Fresenius Medical Care to support Coburn Place families! We said it before, but we’ll say it again – that’s a whole lot of zeroes and a whole lot of giving back! THANK YOU, friends – You are the official rock stars of Coburn Place! To experience Henle and the Loops live, join us at CoburnFest!
