Despite the Rain, the Stars Still Shined

The party was amazing, and the purpose got a big boost. Our friends at the Lucas Estate sure have a good thing going. Beautiful location, wonderful hospitality and amazing food. The band, Henle and the Loops, rocked as much on stage as they do off. We didn’t get to spend the evening under the stars, but we were certainly among them.

Together we raised more than $50,000 to support the families living at Coburn Place – THANK YOU! These funds will go a long way toward empowering victims of domestic violence, like Karen, to live as survivors. Read how your support is changing her life and so many others.

Be sure to check out the photos by our friend Sarah Boutwell. You all looked fabulous!

Thank you for coming to our party and believing in the purpose. We can throw the best shindig in town for the worthiest cause, but it couldn’t be a success without you!

 Suzy’s Spirit

As you probably know, we lost a dear friend and colleague, Suzy Stocky, our Volunteer and Resource Coordinator, in a tragic accident just days before CoburnFest!. Suzy was completely bubbling over with excitement about the event. We weren’t sure how we’d manage.

That night, Suzy’s spirit filled the air in the form of an army of volunteers. Coburn Place board members, CoburnFest! committee members and scads of Charles Schwab volunteers took charge. Each one ensured that the evening flowed smoothly with the welcoming air that Suzy always had about her. For that, we are forever grateful. The party flourished, just as she would have expected.
