On December 28, 1996, Coburn Place was born. Five adults and 14 children fleeing domestic violence opened the doors to their brand new homes. And to brand new lives. It was a community-wide effort that enlisted expertise, passion, dedication, sweat and tears of epic proportions.
A lot has changed over the years – physical aspects of the building; staff, volunteers and supporters; even the way we provide services. But some things have not. We’ve always worked in the best way we knew how to empower victims to live as survivors. And we’ve always relied on the generous support of people just like you – THANK YOU on behalf of each life changed. We couldn’t do it with you.
